More problems for Connecting for Health (CfH).

I recently mentioned problems with the government's new National IT scheme.

Incidentally, I mistakenly called the scheme NPfIT in my previous post. Of course, it is now called Connecting for Health, as this obviously has a more distinguished ring to it. No doubt it will get another name change in the not too distant future.

Here are the latest problems.

I think Connecting for Health is actually the name of the agency which has the responsibility for delivering NPfIT.

With large IT projects, the normal rule is that once they have been implemented and bedded down, some years later, life is better than before they existed; but you want to avoid being around when they are going in, if you can. And this is the Grand-daddy of IT projects.

Is the correct conclusion that one should NEVER start major IT projects? Maybe. Maybe not.

Inaccurate reporting by the BCS, I think; not that it matters much.
